On Friday, October 21, the band will travel to the away football game vs. Hurricane to support our team with cheers, pep tunes, and school spirit!
Black Walnut Marching Festival 2016!
On Saturday, October 15, the Flying Eagle Band traveled to the 62nd Black Walnut Marching Festival in Spencer, WV. In the parade competition in Class C, the band received 1st Place Band. In the field competition in Class C, the band received 1st Place Band, 1st Place Percussion, 1st Place Color Guard, 1st Place Majorettes, and 2nd Place Drum Major. Over the entire field competition, all classes combined, the band received 3rd Place Majorettes.
Tri-State Marching Festival 2016!
On Saturday, October 8, we traveled to Marshall University in Huntington, WV, for the Tri-State Marching Festival. The band received 3rd Place out of eight bands in Class AA, the percussion received 2nd Place, and the majorettes received 2nd Place for Class A & AA Combined.
Fall Fundraiser Begins!
The Flying Eagle Band is selling fresh fruit - oranges, grapefruit, tangerines, apples, pears, and pineapples - for their annual fall fundraiser. This year the band is raising money for their trip to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. Band students will be taking orders, beginning Tuesday, October 4, and ending Tuesday, October 25. The fresh fruit from Florida will be delivered in early December. Boxes of fresh fruit make excellent gifts for the holiday season. Click here for your Fundraiser Fact Sheet.
